Jonah was born and raised in Los Angeles, California where he began his career playing baseball, football, and basketball. Growing up he always had a passion for baseball. His father attended the University of Arkansas Razorbacks where he played 3 years at shortstop and was later drafted by the Houston Astros. Through middle school Jonah played for several teams and found himself playing in the regionals of the Little League World Series. Later he attended Junipero Serra High School where he participated in 2 state championships. During his sophomore year he earned California All Regions 2nd Team which landed him a spot on the Milwaukee Brewers Area Code team as a catcher/outfielder. Jonah would later take his studies and baseball to Bellflower High School where he hit .300 with only 1 home run. Through his season with Bellflower, he earned 1st Team All League and eventually a scholarship to Jackson State university. During his junior year he was selected to play in the MLB Futures Game, and later played for several scout ball teams including Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago Cubs, LA dodgers, and New York Yankees. Jonah took his game around the world to Australia and eventually won a championship in the Goodwill Series Tournament . Jonah said, “while playing I’ve always been very dedicated and encouraging to teammates, this trait always lead me to being a leader and captain”.
While at Jackson State University he studied Therapeutic Recreation with a minor in psychology. At Jackson state he hit .295 with 5 homeruns and participated in 2 conference championships. He played behind the plate and right field and whenever needed was the relief pitcher in games. Jonah found himself playing every position on the field. Through his career he gained a lot of knowledge from Kenneth Landreaux, former MLB player, who taught him that you will only be as good as the work you put in.Schedule a Lesson
